Zeng-Yin Chen, Ph.D.Stanford University Professor Chen taught at Texas A&M University before joining the Department of Sociology, California State University-San Bernardino. She teaches the research method sequence, Sociology of the Family, Social Psychology and Studies of Adolescence. Her substantive research interests revolve around family, adolescent development, and social psychology. Her cumulative research program focuses on the following questions: How do family processes, rather than family statuses, affect children’s (a) short-term outcomes during adolescence, and (b) long-term outcomes in adulthood, as well as (c) cross-cultural differences in social and behavioral outcomes. Her published articles appeared in Sociology of Education, Social Psychology Quarterly, Journal of Marriage and Family, Social Science Quarterly, Sociological Inquiry, Journal of Adolescent Research, Applied Behavioral Science Review, Psychological Reports, and Deviant Behavior. |
